| There is no better way to understand music theory than
to understand how to play it on a piano. If you can play your theory that you
learn on a piano, it will enhance every part of you musically.
How can the piano enhance my
bass-playing ability?
Understanding music theory on the piano gives you many more possibilites for
creating melodic bass lines. There is a definite relationship between piano
theory and playing your instrument. The piano gives you the ability to connect
with the other instruments in a band so you can better understand and hear what
they are playing. Your ability to work with a group of musicians as a unit is
enhanced.
